I have a hard time understanding why are QB's the highest paid players on the team

When I'm watching these games, I see the way the NFL is set up and its easy AF to pass the football.. Somebody is ALWAYS open.

Their success is highly dependent on the people around them. For instance put Tom Brady on the Jaguars... Does that make them playoff team :ld:...

Didn't Matt Cassll come in on a whim and do just as good of a job :ld:

The RB who takes the most punishment during the game somehow is the least paid. Have we not been bamboozled as a society of football fans to believe that is the way it things should be:ohlawd:

This is the list of QBs you can put on ANY team and have them actually make a difference

Aaron Rodgers
Peyton Manning
Ben Rothesberger
Matthew Stafford
Jamies Winston(based on what i saw in college of him running an NFL offense.. And when he got suspended what the backup was able to do:huhldup:

The rest of these nikkas are just mediocre (in my Richard Sherman voice) and you can plug in anyway without very little variance in the W/L

Aren't QB the most overrated position in all of sports??:ohlawd: Shouldn't RB be the highest paid, as is the most dangerous position? :ohlawd:.. Is football not the most racist sport on earth? :mjpls:

How hard is it to throw a bubble screen and a ton of check down passes, and watch somebody else get hit? :francis:

Speak to me. .Tell me if I got it all wrong:dame:

EDIT:
bottom Line, Any QB that has 5 seconds or more in the pocket can complete a pass.. .I don't think that QB's should be getting paid pennies... But this across the board model of the QB being the highest paid player on the team is just warped .

QB is the most vital player on the field.

But I'll take a great coach over a great QB.
Exactly.. The coaches scheme and preparation is more valuable then the QB...

How is the QB the most vital, when teams like Ohio State can lose their starting QB like two weeks prior and still go on to win a National Championship ?

QB's are important as they touch the ball the most.. But "most vital.. I don't agree with..

That's a debate between the WR, and the RB, and in some cases coach

NYC
Paul Brown has Otto Graham
Bill Belichick has Tom Brady
Geroge Halas has Sid Luckman
Vince Lombardi has Bart Starr
Bill Walsh has Joe Montana
Hank Stram has Len Dawson
Bud Grant has Fran Tarkenton
Chuck Noll has Terry Bradshaw
Marv Levy has Jim Kelly
Tom Landry has Roger Staubach
Don Shula has Johnny Unitas and Dan Marino
Mike Holmgren has Brett Favre
Dan Reeves has John Elway

Aside from Joe Gibbs. Every successful head coach was tied to a great quarterback. These guys record without their hof Qbs is pathetic

I get that.. But Im more talking about present day, where "systems" and schemes have taken over and its easy AF to pass the football..

So you really don't have anyone on that list

Also Belechiek had Matt Cassell who can't find a spot on another roster and he still won 11 games.

Belechiek > QB

In the NFL? I'll give you Parcells.

What did Pete Carroll do before Russell Wilson? Back to back 7-9 seasons in Seattle only making the playoffs in 2010 with one of the WOAT divisions? He was 33-31 between NYC and The Pats before Seattle.

In today's nfl the qb is even more important because it's such a passing league. If you have an elite qb you're pretty much guaranteed to contend every year in a league that teams drastically change year to year and it's impossible to sustain any long term sucess but if you have. A top qb u can

People going crazy over Jordy getting injured when he's a product of Rodgers. How many wr's have Green Bay lost to free agency where people said theyd be in trouble and the wr who left Rodgers did nothing snd the replaced that wr with another one who was just as good it's because of Rodgers
