Yup........basic online gaming will remain free
I'm sure if u wanna use cloud, share and all that extra bells n whistle bullsh1t there will be some kind of PSN plus service or most likely PSN plus will just transfer over to PS4

Depends on who you ask honestly. A person who loves PS3 hopes that is the case. The problem is when that persons hope becomes so strong that they stop using logic. Logically the answer is no because as 3cepts will put it "Microsoft is getting away with it so why not sony" and they'll repeat that line in about 2 weeks
but if you asked me? I'm saying NO and I can somewhat back up why that is.1.) Microsoft is getting away with it
2.) XBL is superior to PSN, and currently PSN isn't even in control of sony anymore (Story Tru) This is because of how poorly PSN was set up to begin with. You have to understand the PS3 wasn't even going to have an HDD in it. They added most of its features in response to what Xbox was. Not the other way around. This is FACT. People who liked PS2 don't really pay attention to what I just said, all they care about is if there favorite game is heading exclusively to there console of choice or not. BUT, because of this PSN is in the state that it is. Impossible is my stance on them going forward with the same PSN. Its not even my stance, it just is. Yet so far I've seen nothing from them about PSN. During the PS4 reveal they didn't give a definitive yes or no on that. Just that they would reveal more at E3. I'm expecting some kind of upgrade, would be SHOCKED if they did more than what Microsoft has already revealed they will be doing. But if they can get PSN to current XBL status in terms of reliability/safety,etc? I don't see that w/out a subscription. Once again, if there was a clear answer this thread wouldn't exist now would it

Link? Because there's no verified sources saying that is true. Which is odd because if that were the case you would think Sony would have stated it and made it official back during the reveal to try to gain more momentum against the xbox

PS4 will have free to play games (like the PS3 already does with DC online universe and a few other titles.) such as Warframe

It's the reason why no Free to play games currently exist on XBL
The socialist Japanese public wouldn't allow such a thing anyway, it's probably a big reason why Xbox fails over there and elsewhere. That nickle n diming is what greedy Americans do. As long as PC gaming remains free Sony won't be idiotic enough to charge for online gaming neither.

So Xbox is nickel and diming while sony charges you for DLC even though your using a Blu-ray disc which is supposed to hold more info, more GAME, the entire reason you guys have bragged about having it. Every multiplat game is identical, but you didn't get extra game. I thought Blu-ray was needed for gaming tho? Happy Wars is a great game. Its a BETTER game in the same mold as Fat Princess on PSN which 3cepts swore was the best game ever (because it was exclusive)

I'm real curious to see what they do with psn+. Right now, I'm glad I finally got it because the amount of free games I got is paid for it paid for the subscription several times over and I only had it for a few months now.
Why wouldn't it be? Notice that the only people who speculate that online play won't be free are Xbots. It will make them feel better about paying for Xbox Live Gold if Sony starts charging for Online Multi-player & access to apps.

Xbox idea, and since you like it, sony has to figure out how to have the next "nextflix type idea" on PS4 first and maybe exclusively on PS4. It can't compete with how accessible it'll be, so its already at a disadvantage when it comes to how we'll interact with our respective systems. If the xbox didn't play games, I'd still want one. You can't beat that honestly. But now I'm rambling. PS4 to match what xbox brings to the table they have to make PSN more than what is capable for free. And if they was doing all that, they could of said that a year ago and we wouldn't be having this conversation either. When sony was asked directly, they didn't say its all good. I'm good either ways. If Sony tries to imitate, Xbox Live Gold by charging for Online Multiplayer & access to Apps, i'll just skip out on the next gen consoles and build my own own console-sized Gaming/Home Theater PC. I'll enjoy free online services with "Steam" (with Big Picture Mode), "Origin", and I'll even get to shyt on Microsoft by enjoying Xbox Live Services for free on "Games for Windows Live"/"Xbox Live on Windows".
