Is it me or in 2K15, is it extremely hard to hit the sweet spot when shooting?

I have always been able to shoot decent in 2K, but between having to know all these different releases, you got this damn shot meter which is really hard to time perfectly. lots of times, I'll have a shot that's right in the middle but still yellow. so it's slightly off. and you will miss those open shots too. so basically shooting is a crap shoot, cuz you dont know if you'll make it even if you're slightly off. I mean, I should make the majority of my open shots with a decent shooter even if I'm slightly off.

also, I play at the all star level when I'm playing against non-humans. I haven't been able to beat the CPU consistently on HOF mode in since 2k13.

and speaking of shooting, EVERY player has different hot zones I know, but knowing who can shoot from where is damn near impossible. I mean, I'm looking at chandler parsons hot zones, and these shyts are all blue except for one spot on the right corner 3 point line and a spot just below the FT line. I guess they are telling me dude's J is :trash: in all but two spots :dahell:

If you get a Green on a shot meter its guaranteed to go in so of course it would and should be difficult. Are you implying it should be easier? By no means is shooting a "crap shoot".

Perfect releases are not all going to go in. You will miss some here and there.

The shot timing meter is pure trash. Just release a the height like always

True. Turn that shyt off and look at your jumper form and peak. That's all you need to look at, the shot timing meter will throw you off

I missed a perfect release on HoF against my brother a couple days back.
Almost launched the controller because my bigs had been bobbling rebounds and inexplicably leaving their men open all game.
Lot of funny shyt happens on HoF when it's time for your opponent to make their run.
New shooting meter is absolute trash, though.
Company takes two steps forward and three steps back.

Aldridge anywhere around the key Lights up like a Christmas tree :blessed:

Harden is still probably hands down the easiest to shoot with along with Lebron

Perfect releases are guaranteed to go in... If the meter lights up and is green that means the shot automatically goes in. It says so in the shot meter tutorial. You're right though in that it can be a crap shoot, because shots that are right in the middle but yellow sometimes won't go in but shots that are more off will. It was the same shyt last year when "excellent" or "grade A" shots would sometimes brick. 2K said they fixed the shyt this year but they clearly didn't.

not saying it should be easier, but when I'm taking 15 footers with dudes with good mid range games, and I'm a little off, I should still be making those shots more often than not.
