Dad (RIP) is German, he sports the path to honor him. I think.
EDIT: I misremembered the profile of him I read. Dad died and that motivated him to take basketball more seriously. Hair, as someone said earlier in the thread, was mom's choice. He didn't like it at first, ended up sticking with it.

I thought it was a way to brand and distinguish himself from the rest even more than his natural features. Yall forget that some of this shyt involves business and marketing...bruh may want those endorsements and for fans to easily distinguish himself.
