I think the Cleveland Cavaliers are deserving of a lowkey thread

I strongly believe this team is gonna make a strong push in the second half of the season. Look at this roster now, they made some masterful moves:

Kyrie Irving
LeGM James
Kevin Love
JR Smith
Iman Shumpert
MozGawd
Shawn Marion
Tristan Thompson
James Jones
Mike Miller
Brendan Haywood

^^^They now have a legit 8-man rotation, and can run two squads IMHO if they want to. They got the star in Lebron, they got shooters in Miller and Jones, slashers in JR Smith and Marion, they could run twin towers with MozGawd and Haywood, Hi-Lo with Tristan and MozGawd, they go go small ball with Kevin Love playing the 5 and Lebron playing the 4. I say the Cavs will be the team coming out of the east. If Kevin Love gets his act together and Shumpert is 100%, this team now has a legitimate shot at a title this year.

They're at least going to the ECF like we all thought from the jump, people are just overreacting to their start and the fact that they don't mind seeing LeBron lose. Outside of Chicago nobody in the East is going to beat them four times. It's only a matter of time before all of that talent figures each other out and goes on a kind of streak.

If Bron continues to play like he gives a fukk and cuts back on the Hot Sauce impressions and gets his ass in the post the only team I can really see beating them at full strength in the East is Chicago. I just can't trust ATL or TOR yet because experience is just as much of an issue for them.

They don't have a chance at the title this year IMO, whoever comes out the West is going to be a cohesive team that's been together for years with just as much firepower.

Next year they have a better chance, especially when they move Haywood's contract for another piece.

Let's be reality though, outside of OKC and San Antonio these other teams in the West ain't championship teams, I don't care what the records are, they don't have the right characters. I think it's going to be a very interesting second half of the year to say the least to see how everything plays out in the West

The Warriors with a healthy Bogut are a championship caliber team, it just depends on whether or not he's there in April through June. And the Grizz have a shot as well, I don't know how you can dismiss either team.

Also, teams like the Cavs never win the title, you don't make big trades in the middle of the season with a rookie head coach, no system and expect to get it together in time to beat teams that have been together for years.

Of course the ATL

The Hawks have made the playoffs 7 straight years. Teague & Al have been into the second round before so experience with our stars isn't an issue. Outside of Bron, Kyrie & Love haven't even BEEN to the playoffs. If you're gonna try to discredit us b/c of "experience" you can use that excuse for that entire CLE squad, I don't see how it applies to us

Still don't see CLE getting out of the first round if they gotta play CHI or WAS in the first round. TOR is in flux and maybe gets it together but I don't see them as an East threat anymore. I'm just not impressed by CLE...I think y'all just see Bron and think it'll all just magically work out. I don't see it

I think they really fukked up with Love

Watching them last night they are much better without him

His defense is so bad and he needs to be feed the ball

No joke they should trade him

This is basketball and having the best player in the world (or something close to it) actually playing like it counts for more than it does in any other sport, especially come playoff time. Teague and Al are nice but what they gonna do about 30, 10, 6 Lebron flying all over the court on defense with Kyrie and Love playing free as fukk because there is no pressure, literal or figurative, on them? You are right, at this point there isn't really much to be impressed with in Cleveland which is why I prefaced my statement like I did.

Yeah, JR Smith is taking 15 shots a game with them, the shots were there for Young Canada to take if they had kept him. They could have still made moves to get Mozgov, Shumpert, JR Smith or a PF, and still had Wiggins in the fold, watching them play their perimeter oriented "lets take turns" style right now Wiggins would have been fine with them.

We were robbed of seeing a Tmac/Vince style pairing.

Hey it's not like they gave up a player with ridiculous two way potential on a rookie deal for him or anything :yeshrug:.
