Get an air mouse or track ball keyboard remote combo ASAP, the remotes on these things fukking suck out the box since most of the apps are meant to be used with touchscreens.


If you use Netflix or HBO Go, neither will be in full HD, but you can obviously get around that by using Kodi with plugins (Genesis), Showbox, Youtubeonfire or HDCinema.

I have 3 different boxes, Amazon FireTV, Roku 3 and a 4k capable Android box, I like the FireTV the best but if you set up the Android box right it can be almost as dope. I didn't have the time to set up the Android box when I got it, but since I got it I've set it up right and it's dope.

Genesis has replaced Icefilms as the go to movie/tv source (That's inside of Kodi)

You can run android streaming apps outside of Kodi like Showbox, HDCinema, Mobdro, Cartoon HD as well, and if you're paranoid the Android boxes can run VPNs out the box as long as you have a sub. So if you want to stream torrents you can do that too.

Pretty much this. I have it integrated with the Kodi library (as well as integrated search) too so I got all my favs one press away from streaming from movies and TV.

Also if you need something FireTVish I guess the Android TV Launcher can suffice. I prefer having everything through Kodi though.

Yeah, Kodi is XBMC.

With Kodi you can launch Android Apps from within, so you never actually have to leave the Kodi interface. HDcinema/Showbox are Android apps similar to Genesis, so if you have all 3 you basically replaced netflix, hulu, amazon prime etc. Also, there are TV streaming plugins & apps as well, so you can watch live TV if you want to.
