Like how we had a Nicki Minaj era...and how we are still in a Rick Ross era. This chick is gonna have her era. No tip riding, just observation. For one, This chick has a knack for making catchy songs and every single and video she has put out has been on point. She did a good job of taking a dance track and making it very pop

With Nicki you know that the personality she displays is all an act...with this AB chick its no act, this chick is really a little off. IMO AB does that alternative pop hipster hip hop sh*t a little better. Its like Nicki Minaj on steroids. She does that alternative R&B/ Hip Hop sh*t pretty well...

This chick knows how to pick beats....She's the female Joey Badass of picking early 90's sounding beats. Shorty has an ear for early 90's sounding dance music as if she was raised on the Strictly Rhythms records catalogue. This is what caught my attention from jump because she picks music that has a nostalgic feel.

AB's musical foundation is rave/dance/house music and that type of music has been winning since forever. With Dance music you can have 1 hit that will stay in rotation for decades. Just ask Cee Cee Peniston, Crystal Waters, Aly Us, Sonique , KLF or C&C music factory.

Lyrically she's ok. A lot of her lyrical content consists of sly sexual remarks and slick raunchiness. But that flow is sick. The flow is undeniable. She has a gift for catching and riding the beat. And being that we are in an era where complex lyricism isn't at the forefront, she fits right in

Looks wise, from some angles, she resembles a chocolate Rihanna....But unlike Rihanna this chick is picking all the beats and writing the songs

She has elements of 50 Cents in her as well being that her current reputation has her known for beefing with any and everyone. So far she has displayed that she can put together a catchy diss track

The leaders of that weird hipster music in the 2000's were Santigold and MIA. AB seems to be the one who will carry the torch for this decade.

Me personally I felt her mixtape was cool for the type of music she's doing but it was too alternative for my taste. One thing I like about this chick is she constantly reminds you she's from NY no matter how alternative sounding her music is she wants u to remember she's from NYC. On thing I'm not feeling about this chick is that her music is not aimed at the hood but rather the hipster/dance/pop crowd yet she uses the word "nikka" very freely in her songs.

My final reason for believing we are about to enter an AB era is that she's signed to Interscope.....Interscope took underground backpack rapper Kendrick Lamar and made him a radio friendly enitity. One could only imagine what kind of push a more pop freindly entity like AB will have. Her first single from Interscope is pretty much what one would expect her first single debut would be. With Interscop backing this chick I believe we are about to be force fed into an AB era.

1. the average fan does not know who Azaelia Banks is

2. the people who do know who she is, know she's more concerned with getting in twitter beefs with rappers, than actually making music....the only time she makes news, is when she's in hot water over saying stupid shyt on the internet.

3.this photo of her exists

She's pissed waaaaaaay too many people in the industry off already so I highly doubt she has a real career ahead of her in music...

No way. Nicki at the very least was killing her features along side some of the more popular rappers at that point in time. So that helped with her buzz.

Azelia has no such buzz, and is more known as some ratchet smut that says dumb things on Twitter.

I was feeling her when she first came on the scene, her beats are sick and her flow is dope but she is never really talking about anything. When i realized she wasn't really saying anything i stopped listening.

Word....she doesnt really say anything in her music but when did that really matter? We just saw the down sydrome sounding Cheif Keef have a good year in 2012.

1) Thats why I brought up Kendrick. Just last year know one outside of the internet knew who he was either. But once he got that push from Interscope (AB's same label) Kendrick would soon become a mainstream name in Hip Hop.

2) 50's formula was beefing with rappers as wel and we all see how that turned out for him

3) I dont cosign rumors.......But if I did then u just posted child porn

agreed...the music is up to par, and she has demonically positioned herself to have a nice run...and if she was caucasian making this same type of music, she would have already blown up, but I think her time is still coming...

Didn't she call gay people fags? Her fan base lacking. That's what I know of her.

I don't think I know any of her songs to be honest
