How Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One X improves over PS4 Pro
3 performance options:
4K mode: Checkerboard on PSFauxK - Native 4K on XBX with better assets and textures (Full uncompromised pixels)
Enriched mode: 1080p on PSFauxK - 4K output, some extra rendering technique to get there
Highs performance mode: 60fps on both.
In all modes X1X has HDR and better assets, textures and sound.
Over the last year Tomb raider has been used as somewhat of a becnchmark to compare different hardware. I think the results here give a real idea of the power/performance differnces between the consoles.
There seemed to be a bit of confusion here about the topic, so I hope this helps
Here, an update for the furious stans. They looked at a bunch of other games.
Hands-on with 10 Xbox One X games that show us what it's really capable of
This better for y'all

Just like Sony, Microsoft has left the door open to developers to do what they want with the hardware, but certainly based on the titles we've seen so far, the delineation between the two models looks far more clear cut - Xbox One X is the console for your 4K screen, and anything else in addition to that (like Tomb Raider's multiple rendering modes) is a bonus.
