This is my big problem with Don Q, he literally sounds like an amalgam of every gangsta rapper of the 2000s, there is literally nothing unique about his style. He is like the one friend you had in high school that was decent at rapping, but only cuz he was mimicking some of his favorite rappers.

East isn't the be-all-end-all, but at least he has a distinctive style. The nikka Don Q is one of the most generic rappers I've ever heard.

His ad libs, flow, and overall energy set him apart imo. He supposed to sound like his influences.

Dave east and don q rap about similar subject matter, but Dave east has a style that I like, and his flow pattern (although slightly similar to Don q) drags you into his songs, and he's able to descriptively paint pictures with his words and it doesn't come off as forced
