How did Jay-Z pull off the Cristal boycott if he doesn't set trends?

Just wondering. Cause coli always says he trend hops and never creates anything.

But he killed it off in hip-hop and trickled down into black circles and other circles.

And 2006 was before things trending on Twitter. He had award shows & black artist all on Gold bottle Ace of spades and not a single rapper has gone back to Cristal 11years later.

Cristal was a popular drink and it still is.
But it’s not the only option above dom p anymore, Jays and them managed to put Ace on the racks as well. And Dom still reigns supreme.

Well accomplished in such a conservative business.

Jay has been a trendsetter and impressively enough he still is at 50. But he’s not god. The trend thing is like rap beef, it’s easier to kill something on its way down. Auto tune was on its way up and even with a #2 song it barely made a dent on it. How are you gonna kill off something that everyone except old heads are fukking with. Same with wiz and papers, he didn’t kill blunts but he made papers hot again in hip hop culture.

Who say he dont set trends?

nikkas dont remember button ups?

I occasionally forget he was at the forefront of button ups. I gravitated to the rebirth of polo shirts w/ Kanye in 2004 cause it reminded me of 1998 with Macy's name brands popping like Tommy & Nautica my folks wasn't gonna let me get, lol.

DOA 2009...a year off his employee's 808 & heartbreaks, lol. But I figured it was a one time deal with Kanye and I thought jay was gonna kill it. Weezy stuck with it...but it didn't regain traction until young thug & future blew up.

Tpain fell off & biggest artist 2009-2013 wasn't using autotune minus weezy and Diddy w/ Dirty Money.

I don't really know about taste of champagne, I just used to buy it when I was feeling myself like when celebrating someones birthday etc. However,
I don't know how it can be "garbage" if the top critics in the world rank it among the highest. :dahell: You most likely wouldn't be saying it if a black rapper wasn't involved with it.:mjpls:

In February 2009, Spanish critic José Peñín published his own review of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold.[17] In November 2009, FINE Champagne Magazine published the results of a blind tasting of 1,000 champagne brands, with Armand de Brignac the top finisher.[18]

In 2015, wine critic Jancis Robinson MW rated the new Blanc de Noirs and Demi Sec champagnes 18/20 points.[8] That same year, Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs received a Double Gold Medal in the San Francisco International Wine Competition.[19] Armand de Brignac Brut Gold was also awarded a Gold Medal at the 2015 San Francisco International Wine Competition.[19]

In 2016, Armand De Brignac Blanc De Noirs Assemblage One (A1) was awarded the #1 Blanc De Noirs in the World for 2016 by FINE Champagne Magazine.[20] In the same year, Wine Spectator rated Armand de Brignac Rosé 92 points and the Tasting Panel rated Armand de Brignac Brut Gold 93 points, and the Blanc de Blancs was awarded 94 points.[21] Decanter awarded 96 points to the new release Armand de Brignac Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two (A2), 95 points for the Brut Gold and both the Rosé and Demi Sec cuvées were given 93 point ratings.[22]

It's crazy how the fukk the usual suspects like Krug, Dom and Cristal always rank high in blind tests though, crazy skills :whew:
