How come no one is talking about Jonathan Isaac (aka Baby Kevin Durant) ahead of the 2017 NBA Draft?

All this talk about this scrub Markelle Fultz when there is a dude like this in the draft that nobody is talking about.

Finally got a chance to watch some tape on Jonathan Isaac. Kid blew me away. His length, athleticism, and skills are very similar to Kevin Durant. He's not quite as good as a young KD and I don't think he has that potential but he at the very least looks a lot better than Brandon Ingram did last year. Jonathan Isaac has now joined Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum at the top of my big board.

Swag's 2017 NBA Draft Big Board:

1. PG Lonzo Ball (UCLA) - superstar potential; NBA comp - Penny Hardaway/Jason Kidd
2. SF Jayson Tatum (Duke) - superstar potential; NBA comp - Paul George
3. SF Jonathan Isaac (FSU) - all-star potential; NBA comp - poor man's Kevin Durant
4. SG Josh Jackson (Kansas) - all-star potential; NBA comp - Jimmy Butler
5. PG Markelle Fultz (Washington) - solid starter; NBA comp - CJ McCollum
6. C Lauri Markkanen (Arizona) - solid starter; NBA comp - Brook Lopez
7. C Jarrett Allen (Texas) - elite rim protector; NBA comp - smarter Javelle McGee
8. PG De'Aaron Fox (Kentucky) - starter potential; NBA comp - Brandon Knight
9. PG Dennis Smith Jr. (NC State) - starter potential; NBA comp - Emmanuel Mudiay
10 (tie). SG Terrance Ferguson (Australia) - starter/role player; NBA comp - Terrance Ross
10 (tie). SG Malik Monk (Kentucky) - starter/role player; NBA comp - JR Smith/Lou Williams

Because we seen a nikka just like him in Brandon Ingram last year and have a fairly underwhelming debut (not to say he won't improve because he'll get much better with time), and this dude's skill set is so raw that he makes Brandon Ingram look like a multiple time all-star already. I'm always gonna respect a nole but he doesn't have hype for a reason. Hoping that Orlando picks him, he should be good but I think he'll need 4/5 years.

Disagree. I think he looks more ready than Brandon Ingram. I was never impressed with Ingram last year. I was saying the Lakers should have taken Thon Maker #2 overall.

If I'm the Timberwolves, I'm targeting either Jonathan Isaac or Jarrett Allen with the #7 pick. They would be perfect compliments for Wiggins and Towns. Isaac would allow Wiggins to play SG which is his more natural position. Similarly Allen would allow Towns to play PF which is his more natural position. Either player would help improve the Wolves defense which has been a weakness.

I really like the potential of these 2 future lineups:

PG - Tyus Jones
SG - Andrew Wiggins
SF - Jonathan Isaac
PF - Karl Anthony-Towns
C - free agent

These are incredibly stupid comparisons

The Jarrett Allen comp was done in haste. But I think the Lauri Markkanen/Brook Lopez comp is on point. Obviously there are some differences. Lopez is a better shot blocker while Markkanen is a better 3-point shooter. However, both have similar size and builds.

Its the best comp given the similar body types, offensive prowess, and overall ceilings.

Markkanen is a skinny pf who works from the perimeter and shoots alot of 3s

Brook is a solid C who scores with his back to the basket.

They're not similar other than being tall and offensive players.

The Allen-Mcgee comp would have probably been way more defensible but as usual you have everything backwards
