A common theme among some replies from the coli females seems to be that they like traditional men to come after them. To take charge and lead and basically not be soft.

But this seemingly goes against feminine agendas that seek to push sensitivity over truth.

We now demonize approaching women on the street.
"Manspreading" on a subway seat can get you fined or arrested.

Do you feel that over time men have lost their "machismo" or "umph" (for lack of a better word)?

What you're seeing are harmful aspects of traditional masculinity being pointed out as harmful. That's all there is to it.

Telling young boys to man up, mask their pain and basically hide any feelings that aren't considered masculine. It's widespread throughout a lot of cultures.
