Edit: Giannis will be the 2018-19 NBA MVP thanks to his workout with the GOAT Kobe Bean Bryant.

Sorry brehs. I was a year too early last year.

This will happen one year from today.

Giannis will lead the Bucks to the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference next year and win the NBA MVP award.

All you did was shyt on Giannis :hhh:

You said that his playmaking was overrated and kept saying how much worse he was than Wiggins :stopitslime:

I have not shyt on Giannis. I like him a lot as a player. I just pointed out that he has a very significant weakness. He's not very good in the half-court against a set defense. His one on one scoring skills are limited. And his post game needs a lot of work. Other than that he's elite. If you remember, my thread was titled "Ya'll crowned Giannis too early". I never said he didn't deserve the crown. Just that it was too early.

Wiggins is significantly better scoring one on one in the half-court against a set defense than Giannis. And one on one scoring in the half-court is the most valuable skill in basketball come playoff time. Its the reason Kyrie Irving looks so elite in the Finals. That is why I argued Wiggins is the better player. Honestly its close between the two. Giannis impacts the game more defensively and is given more responsibility offensively. But Wiggins has him beat on the most valuable skill in basketball. In terms of potential, I like both equally. Wiggins has the potential to become a lockdown defender and great playmaker one day. And I have hope Giannis develops a nice post-game on offense so he can be effective in the half court.

The NBA of the early 2020s will be run by 3 players: Embiid, Giannis, and Wiggins. They have the highest potential of anyone drafted since Kevin Durant in 2007.

Boy can't shoot

True. But he's deadly in the open court. And in the half court is developing a decent post-game.

He'll have a LeBron James like stat line next year: 27 PPG, 9 RPG, 6 APG. That along with 55+ wins and the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference should be enough to win him the MVP award.

Eastern Conference.

How did the Celtics win 50+ games this year?

Having one of the best coaches in the league and loads of depth. They also only won 5 more games than last season while adding Al Horford and IT with a near-MVP type season.

How are the Bucks gonna win 13+ more games with the exact same roster, except with Jabari coming off an injury and Middleton healthy instead?

Thon Maker will emerge as a star. And Giannis will take his game to the next level.

They will become the best duo in the Eastern conference.

Giannnis looks like an elementary school kid just learning to play ball when he's forced to create in the half court. No shot lol

Giannis is a 2nd-3rd option on a contending team.

Freaky athlete who can fill up a stat sheet

But I don't see true dominance when I watch him play.

He should study Dirk and learn how to generate offense in a half court set.

His offensive game is rugged and lacks refinement.

He's still young, so maybe he'll get there.

Right now, he's fooling people with his shiny nickle stats, but I know it's not 100.

Helluva prospect, but he's yet to pass my eyeball test.

Especially in regards to people calling him a top 5/MVP caliber player.

You open him up to a whole new level of criticism by trying to place him in that category.

Don't see him as a 1 A....He's in that next tier down.

Like a new age Scottie Pippen.

One of the best, but never THEE best.

Just how Scottie was a tier down from Mike, Bird, Olajuwon, Barkley etc..etc...

I don't know if Giannis will ever break through to "1A" status.

His nature is 2nd-3rd option facilitator status
