While a flowing 60fps frame-rate works great for the Gears multiplayer experience, there is some confusion about the status of the game. The language used during the press conference seems to imply that the 60fps target only applies to the game's multiplayer mode. While we have no confirmation here, the wording leaves the door open to a reduced 30fps performance target in single-player. This would allow for more detail and a higher degree of effects work, so it wouldn't be a uniformly bad scenario, but some clarity from Microsoft would be appreciated.

Gears: Ultimate Edition is basically Gears of War Remastered for the Xbox One and PC. Only the first part of the trilogy is being remastered and brought to the Xbox One. Upgraded visuals and a boost to frame rate are a part of the package. Interestingly, only the multiplayer component will run at 60fps, whereas the single-player campaign is limited to 30fps.

Even here the horse says it on stage "in 60fps in Multiplayer"
Says it at 1:19 seconds
So wait a fukking minute, a remastered 360 game is only going to run at 30fps!?!?
I could understand maybe for Gears 4 but a REMASTERED game having trouble hitting 60fps in SP?? This is straight up disrespectful to people buying remasters. NEVER have I heard of 30fps remastered games
