Threads like this one:

Black men, vulnerability and depression.

do not belong in TLR. A lot of brehs out there need advice/guidance and there are some decent, knowledgeable brehs on the coli who could help them out. But it's impossible to have a serious discussion on some of these personal issues in TLR for obvious reasons.

There's also the fact that many of these helpful threads disappear in a sea of instathot and bedwench threads, which means a lot of valuable information is lost.

Maybe brehs could even post anonymously so ppl won't judge them or use their "weaknesses" against them in future debates? Of course their identities would be known to the mods so spammers can get banned tho.

Lmao hell no. If people need counseling, go to a professional. I mean asking advice is one thing but online therapy is another.

How do you know there aren't any professionals on the Coli? Maybe they don't have access to professional help?

Ever heard of talkspace or 7 cups of tea?

I'm for it.

Sometimes a simple it's gonna be alright from a brother to a brother can prompt one to go get the help he needs/fix the issue in need of addressing

A LOT of brothers are walking around broken and don't even realize they are because they live on auto pilot but reading a shared experience could help someone.

Call it what you want, point is there should be a dedicated forum for all the threads that keep popping up about mental health issues, life struggles etc.. TLR ain't the place for any of that.

One site dedicated strictly to online therapy is one thing but it's risky for the owners to incorporate such a thing among a forum like this. Bad advice can lead to lawsuits. It would need some heavy ass disclaimers.

Why isn't TLR the place for it? It's the place for everything else.
