So I wanted to start this in The Root but they need to clean that section up and TLR will get more eyeballs :francis: But I think this blurb presents an interesting topic, in regard to Black Lives Matter, and a valid critique. If White Supremacy and anti-Blackness are global then shouldn't Black Lives Matter be connecting with Black movements instead of being in Palestine The growing solidarity between #BlackLivesMatter and Palestinian activists :patrice: Instead of holding talks with Hilary Clinton, why not criticize her role in Haiti, Honduras, and Libya Role of Hillary Clinton’s brother in Haiti gold mine raises eyebrows :snoop:

You have Ethiopians in Israel and Afro-Brazilians in Bahia using the Black Lives Matter slogan
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/ethi...rusalem-inspired-by-baltimore-protest.315235/ but have any of these American "activist" attempted to connect? Dubois, Malcolm, MLK, etc made trips around the diaspora :ld: If your logic is that we should only focus on our country because thats a lot in itself then wouldn't America setting up military bases across Africa be something we Black Americans collectively call out like police brutality AFRICOM: America's Empire of Military Bases in Africa | Black Agenda Report

Cacs do a great job making their tragedies in Paris and Sandy Hook go global so does Black Lives Matter not have the responsibility to use its access to media to bring awareness when a bombing happens at the hands of
Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab? :jbhmm: You have social justice warriors romanticizing Italy and France, especially Black women who think Europeans love them, not realizing the high volume of African women and children sold into slavery as prostitutes in Europe Trafficking in Women from Nigeria to Europe

I know we have a fairly diverse group of Black folk on here, so do my Black breh and brehettes agree with this criticism. If not, why? If so, what are solution to create a more globalized Black movement that does not rely on Black Lives Matter?:ohhh:

You present hella good points.

BLM seems to have no issue ignoring injustices perpetuated against African nations by American imperialism.

But then again i digress...blm has no problem with white supremacy as long as they get a piece of the pie thats why they will never question hillary or bill's exploits in the continent and lend blind support to her and shun Bernie Sanders.

Blacks are way to seperated. We need to come together as one.

Simply saying it doesn't do anything.

If Black folk in America feel this way why do we allow people like Tanehisi Coates to romanticize Europe? Why did BLM face no criticism for not bringing up foreign policy to Hilary Clinton in that town hall? Its another obvious flaw I see in this "movement."

The issue at hand is people do not understand the concept of being "Black".

A Jamaican will say "I`m not black mon I`m Jamaican" :mjpls:
An AA will tell an African "you aint black bruh you African"
etc.

Although the concept of Black is from White Supremacy, it pretty much has assigned us to being on the same team, and right now BLACKS globally are losing 0 to 500 and counting to White Supremacy.

Anyone at this point who does not see this is a fool.

That said, being that we as Blacks are a TEAM, we must then understand our roles on the team. A PG shouldn't play Center and a SG shouldn't play PF. We must look at the strengths of each one of us and play to them.
