Curious. Seems like a couple of yall are involved in religious organizations or some sort of social work. Anything in particular?

I guess ill start :yeshrug:

I volunteer at a nursing home as a part of my research shyt about once a week. Usually involves seeing patients, doing a psych interview, asking if they need anything, helping out nurses and shyt. I also volunteer at a burn unit every couple of weeks. Every year i try and run the race for the cure with some buddies. we get sponsored up, get day drunk and do the race (poorly). its pretty fun.

They're having a banquet I'm going to attend, you have to purchase tickets, so that goes towards the organization.

Indirectly, I will offer completely free advice on the-coli.com forum. I don't charge anything. Everything from cars, legal advice, career advice, exercise advice, basketball winning picks (yeah, I said Michigan wasn't going to win AND that Louisville was going to beat the spread...and I was right.), and other stuff.

Thats dope breh. Those functions can be kinda awkward sometimes cause theyre usually run by tight asses tho lol. i like to keep em fun. 2 years back my buddy and i cohosted a pig roast for local Memphis schools where you buy a plate for like 5$, beers for 3$ its fun if people come out and actually try to have fun with it.

plus hoes love charity :noah:

Great thread.

I've actually taken a step back from 24/7 hands on charity work. Obviously my org had us out there all the time. We actually just hosted our Annual Comedy Show that raises Cancer Awareness. We get the American Cancer Society involved and all that.

I was in the midst of setting up an Adopt a US soldier campaign for my firm. But I started traveling way too much to coordinate it for my home office.

And of course mentoring and staying in contact with my alumni's career services. Gotta give back to the lost students. I was in their position once. Knowledge builds confidence.

Well, what community are you speaking of?

I sponsor some children in Africa through world vision. It's really difficult to know if you're resources are being used appropriately with world wide organizations... so I do some local sh1t when I can.

I'm Muslim, I don't do anything through Islamic organizations, because I want all of anything I have to go to black or African communities and I haven't found real Islamic organizations that do that.

I run a youth empowerment program in my local community. We concentrate on promoting creativity and creative outlets for kids and young adults. Currently our program has been picked up by 3 different school, and we are finally starting to get support in the way of donations and sponsors.

The kids respond very well to our program and I'm glad to say I've been able to help a lot of kids who would have otherwise been forgotten.

Dont speak on your charity. It hurts your blessings, friend.

Do you do anyway? Teach lil kids wresting or something?

Speaking of your charity online is Ok, due to you not knowing these people and them not having an effect on ur life whatsoever.

Jesus said, "At my Father's direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?" :smh:
