Is asking if you've seen the no. 1 movie for 3 weeks straight/highest-grossing music biopic necessarily the same as assuming that you like rap? I don't think you really have to like rap music to like a good movie.

I ask people if they've seen "Whiplash" without assuming that they're into jazz. I'm not really into jazz, but I thought it was an excellent film.
