agreed, here's a link to a collection of all of his grooves on youtube :wow:

My favorite Quik album

i've gone back and forth between this and rhythm-al-ism but i think now lookin' back on it i'd go with safe + sound as my favorite too :myman:

@stomachlines when I coverted over to CDs in 95, this was one of my first 5 CD purchases. With all these producers of today usin goofy ass sound effects and other weird ass sounds in their beats, I always go back to this album for that actual music and instrumentation.

:wow:

when i converted over to cds the very first cd i bought was bone thugs' e. 1999 eternal :win:

but yeah, i feel what you sayin'. the production of today for the most part is comical and doesn't even begin to compare to what producers like quik, rza, dr. dre, shock g, erick sermon and them were doin' back then :mjcry:

the music on safe + sound just sounds incredible, the instrumentation is out of this world :banderas:

c/s 100%

I hope those dudes you listed continue to work. There are still ppl out there that wanna hear their type of production.

I cant even distinguish these new producers from one another:scust:
