Very impressive performance tonight in his college debut (especially compared to Marvin Bagley who I thought was disappointing). Ayton reminds me a lot of Dikembe Mutombo in terms of his body and mobility. Has possibly better skill offensively. Not an elite superstar prospect but he can be a solid rim protector and 15-18 PPG scorer in his career. Definitely worthy of the #1 overall pick in what isn't looking like a great draft.

@#1 pick @AVXL This the bum we tanking for? :hhh:

There's no one worthy of tanking for this year. The future superstars of the NBA are all in the league right now.

Unless your team can get one of the following 6 players you ain't seeing a ring this next decade:

1. Joel Embiid
2. Andrew Wiggins
3. Giannis Antentokounmpo
4. Ben Simmons
5. Kristaps Porzingis
6. Karl-Anthony Towns

These 6 players will decide who wins championships from 2020-2027.

That Arizona team is loaded but their coach may do them in.

Ayton is a man. He's got length, athleticism, skill, and grace. Runs the floor extremely well, plays with energy on both ends, plays exceptional defense, the complete package.

Look for Sean Miller to figure out a way to fukk this team up.

Coach K gonna fukk his team up as well.

Michigan State gon mess around and win this thing.

You're basing this comparison to bagley on one exhibition game

Bagley has been playing with professionals all summer and was holding his own.

The way he looks in College will be different than the way we looks in the pros due to the nature of the game.

I'll wait until I see more from him before making a conclusion about his NBA potential. I will say that his first game was unimpressive. And I'm not talking stats or whether he hit shots. I'm talking about looking at him physically. He just didn't come off as a high level athlete or being physically imposing because of his measureables.

Hopefully he looks better going forward.

I disagree. This draft has Bagley, Ayton, Bamba. Not to mention Porter Jr. And Doncic. This is an excellent class

You could be right. I'm just going off my early impressions of these guys. Porter Jr. looked terrible in the Nike Hoops Summit earlier this year. Bagley looked in his first game. Doncic hasn't impressed me either from the little I've seen.

But we'll see if they can turn it around. Last year around this time I wasn't impressed with Jayson Tatum. But as the season progressed and I saw more and more from him, I became very impressed.
