AT&T’s U-verse struck a deal with Revolt, the cable network owned by music entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs that will make the TV outlet available on the telecommunications company’s video-distribution systems.
AT&T said Revolt would be available in a certain tier of programming as early as July 27. The pact will include rights to content on demand and on mobile devices.
“With a major player like AT&T, more people will be able to access the hottest music and original content on every screen and device,” said Combs, the network’s chairman, in a prepared statement.
Financial aspects of the deal and its length of duration were not disclosed.
Revolt launched in 2013, part of an effort by Comcast to distribute cable networks owned by minorities in order to gain approval for its purchase of NBCUniversal. Revolt’s premise is music and topics of interest to a millennial audience, and the network features concerts, interviews and news.
