Ryan Coogler was poor and homeless, likely because his parents were poor, (like most people who are poor)

Through hard work, he is no longer poor, which means his children will not be poor, which is generational wealth. There are other means of gen. Wealth and opportunity besides creating businesses which is the go to argument for faux militants. Entrepreneurship is one way to create wealth, but not the only way. Fact is most people, regardless of race DO NOT OWN BUSINESSES.

His working for marvel and his other films means that he passes down (one day) a black director to also get the same opportunities he did.

The same way Denzel Washington and Will Smith paved a way for Michael B Jordan who eats directly off of work that Sidney Poitier put in, in old Hollywood, as did Washington and Will Smith.

Is that so hard to understand? It has to be created.

Anything that puts black people in a better situation going forward is pro black.

It surely is a victory when something is predominately black acted, directed and written by blacks. It’s not really that complicated.

Truth is, you guys have a hard time being happy for blacks, like a lot of blacks.

There is no one solution to the black plight. It’s piece by piece.

“Black” is 400 years old, and has thousands to go, this one situation makes things possible hundreds of years from now that we likely won’t get to see.

Work that Sidney Poitier put in 50-60 years ago, helped a black persons eat in 2018, that’s generational opportunity, friend.

I agree with part of what you said, but you should have left the part about business ownership out ,yall are always trying to downplay business ownership when blacks are literally the group who need it the most right now. Learn to understand percentages/numbers. Blacks business ownership is much lower than every other group, we can't even employ each other right now because we don't even have enough businesses to do so.

That being said.....i wanted to know how if most hardcore fans actually do anything pro-black besides going to the movies. So in the thread "What are you wearing to the BP movie", i asked them if any were willing to buy their outfit from a black business and most of them made excuses.
"Oh you see, most black businesses do not carry the type of clothes i want to wear to the movie"

I'm tired of nikkas running around acting like they're doing so much when you aren't doing shyt. I don't have a problem with anyone going to see the movie but stop acting like you're aiding in the building of a black economy, or investing in those who are trying to build a black economy. Just go see the movie and be quiet.

Developing our own movie system is what would create more opportunities for black creatives.

Compare the amount of black ball players and ancillary black businesses attached to the negro leagues before Jackie Robinson started playing for the MLB. There gone now. We need our own thing.

Also, a look at the Black Panther IMdb shows that the majority of the crew is white, except for the animation and cgi teams which are mostly asian.
