I was at the grocery store yesterday and picked up 3 bars of NUBIAN HERITAGE soap
NBH-10600-11.jpg
. When i got to the crib and read the package I saw that the company was started by a few NY college graduates and was happy to see that they had gotten their product to the level it was on. There website http://www.nubianheritage.com/ doesnt contain much information on them but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume they are black and just bring some exposure to their products.

This soap is sold in Wholefoods, Wegmens, CVS and a few other spots listed on their website.

Used the soap today and it seems to be a decent product.

Let's use this thread to spread information on quality black owned stores and products (including where they can be purchased).

I use black soap, not that brand though. I think it's by a black owned company. I use black owned hair care products. Qhemet Biologics , and Jane Cater Solution.

Qhemet Biologics

Frustrated by attempts to manage her newly natural dry, damaged hair and scalp, the founder and product developer for Qhemet Biologics decided to create a line of quality, effective, tradition inspired products for health conscious consumers. Launched in 2004 after two years of a massive research and development phase, Qhemet Biologics has definitely become a brand to watch. Clutch spoke with Qhemet Biologics founder about how she got started and to give us the scoop on her up and coming brand.

Here's a link to an interview with the founder

This is the problem I have with Black-owned businesses, a lot of the owners or people involve either are shady or become shady after they start making money. By simply Googling Nubian Heritage, I came across this article of the founders:

Shady, but I'm still down to support a Black business. We need more Black businesses to truly see wealth as a culture & community.

Im skeptical of any articles put out by popular media in regards to "black" people. Some interesting things are brought up in it.

from this article, http://www.tnj.com/archives/2006/april2006/cover_story.php , i think they eventually bought that harlem building the nypost says they misappropriated money for
