Love my mountain bike, I can't wait for the weather to break.

I'll probably be picking up a decent road bike this Spring as well, it's easier to ride when I ride into work. If you're not going to take it serious and do it as a major hobby, a simple bike will do the trick. I'm sure like $200 or so? Most of the road bikes at a proper bike shop will run you $700 and upwards

I'm cheap I can't bring myself to pay 700. I think my absolute most will be 250. I'm gonna try to be serious. I want to be healthier.

i just threw some slick road tires on my mountain bike for street riding.
the only knobs on my tires are on the very outside and only make contact with the ground if i make a really sharp turn.

You should be fine then. It's a dope hobby, you get out on the paths or the streets and just go. It's actually a good mental release.

I'm too lazy for that :skip: I have friends that road bike and mountain bike so I'll need both.

History of Air ones too from '03. This was unintentional Facebook trolling too, people got mad when they saw that. :lolbron:

how long to the pads on disk breaks last?
i probably did 300 miles last year.
i got 2 seasons of use out of them so far, every once in a while i need to adjust them because they will rub against the disk.

I usually adjust mine multiple times throughout the year, only because I beat my bike up routinely. I'm two years on these pads and they were used, so I'm not too sure of the full longevity. I keep breaking the trip odometers unfortunately, but I always buy shyt ones though.

How do I track mileage ?

i got an odometer.
you put a small magnet clip on the spoke and a tiny sensor on the arm outside of the spoke that picks up the magnet passing every rotation.
you tell the odometer your tire size and it calculates how far and you go with every tire rotation.
it also tells you your speed.

i also got a mount for a gps on my bike, i use it when i'm in unfamiliar places.
