Arts subforum ?

I had this idea on the Walt stories' thread where I thought about having an Arts (sub-)forum
Could gather the following :
- Stories from the Coli fam
- Photographies (there's a good photography thread in the Arcadium)
- Cover arts, paintings, all type graphism related creations from the members (there are skilled people on here really)
- Threads about various artists (painting, graffiti, installation art)
- Architecture, design
To sum it up, whatever fits in the "Art" category.

This forum shouldn't really gather the masses but could give some members and/or some artists some exposure.

Yeah, I think it would be too much to be a primary forum and Arcadium fits well.
Maybe TSC should be a primary forum and the Arts forum should replace it.

No they can co exist just like how the locker room has 2 sub forums.

I hope @bk and @Brooklynzson makes this happen very good idea imo.

There are a lot of artist on the forum and been a couple successful art related threads .

Plus this might be a good area for simple things like photo shop help.

I know im learning how now by just by watching youtube videos. I usually just ask ikill when he's avaliable.

I kinda agree.
TSC has more message than JBO or HL, so it wouldn't be illogical for it to be a main forum. On the opposite, it could also fit under the Coliseum forum.

Some concerns I have -

The story threads (Walt/General Mills), would they be as popular as they are if they were in a subforum?
How much interest would an arts subforum have? Are there any threads I can see? For example, the gigantic boxing thread made it pretty obvious a subforum would work.

I'm not opposed to it, but adding a subforum or forum is a big deal. Part of the attraction to the Coli is how simple the layout of our forums is. Some other forums have hundreds of forums and subforums for every possible niche and IMO and i dont think i'm alone in this, it looks terrible.


As for moving TSC...what benefit would that have? Is the forum suffering by being a subforum? Yes, its by far the most popular and active subforum we have but would moving it to the front page make it more active? With TSC, you're either into it or youre not...theres really no middle ground, so while the numbers say it should a main forum, i think theres other factors that also need to be taken into consideration

Not exactly. If you don't watch wrestling then you're not going in TSC period. HL should (not always the case) have a wider variety of topics that could potentially attract new members to that subforum. HL is a forum that we would love to get some new blood in and see it become more successful than it is so having it on the front page is logical.
