Seeing as property that was brought into the marriage is not divided up like property obtained during the marriage do divorce laws get a bad rap?

If someone marries a person and that person does not have to work is being entitled to alimony really wrong?

In a normal everyday marriage in America where the median household income is $50000

You have both the husband and wife pooling together their assets and income to aquire and live a lifestyle greater than they could have if they were single.

Given this, in the event of a divorce, no one is better.

So how is it again women are giving an incentive to divorce?

dog...my friend who just recently got divorced told me that his ex wife had her lawyer try to find a way to get more alimony based on his education. Guy was making $10 an hour and wanted to figure out a way to prove that his earning "potential" was much greater so she should somehow be entitled to that in the future?
