Dudes dropping knowledge, and its dope he knows black American history..
Funny how he used the slavemasters using the Bible as 'justification for slavery' but conveniently ignored the priests who spoke out against slavery. Let's also ignore the role of the black church in the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr died over this all, and you want to call him an uncle tom.

This is exactly what I thought when I was studying early African American history. Christianity was never the black mans religion. To be fair though, before the mass enslavement of blacks slavery was really indentured servitude. Someone would be a slave for like 10 years then they'd go free. Also they were treated pretty well unlike chattel slavery where blacks were bred,beaten, raped and tortured regularly.
this... it's annoying as fukk.. when they don't know the difference.

1. America was one of the last countries to abolish slavery.
2. Black churches were useful because those were the only locations black people could congregate as they weren't allowed into other clubs or social settings. It also provided GROUPS of people to institute change. The enlightenment and ideas of "human rights" did more for the abolition movement than black churches and the civil rights movement didn't even start in the black church.
3. MLK Jr. Was a socialist...and communist sympathizer...i.e. not REALLY that religious, but he damn sure knew the benefit of the black church and he was willing to lead that charge.
Above all, none of this has ANYTHING to do with how true the things in the bible are.
1. Christianity in Africa was limited to the North and east coast
2. West africans made up most of the slaves in the new world. Theres no reason for nigerians to be CATHOLIC
