I haven't watched all of it myself, shyt I'm on the first episode right now. Heard all the praise it got and decided to check it out.

But yes, season 3 is a continuation of the story.

Ran through season 1. Think I stopped on the first episode of season 2 cause it got boring

Season 1 is my favorite one yet, but stick with season 2. Trust me, it gets good.
