I been noticing a lot of breh practicing Ifa here :ohh:

A lot of hood cats and rappers been practicing it heavy too seen a bunch of them saying they a child of ogun or oshun or saying on Ifa. Dudes who really don't seem to be up on African religions from their appearance. (21 savage, lotto savage, skooly)

Anybody knows where the sudden interest in African spirituality has come from in street dudes here?
I like this new wave tho. I'm all about us embracing our ancestors religions so I ain't hating. Just hope they serious about it and not doing to be fashionable.

Are they practicing Voudun? You say Oshun, so I assume so. I will just say this, be careful what you play with. I fukk with this because I mix what I believe to be my form of African spirituality with Christianity, but I hope they are not just doing this to be different. Vodun is Congolese + Benin mostly, with sprinkles of other groups here and there.

Im Yoruba so Ive had people in my family practice the customs for years.....

a lot of Yoruba people even If they are christian or muslim still follow the traditions
