Given φ=x²-y²z find ∇φ at (1,1,1)
[Stackexchange link got taken down]
I've never taken vector calculus but apparently all you gotta do is
1) Know the definition of ∇φ
2) take 3 partial derivatives of polynomials (simple as shyt, high school calc)
3) plug in (1, 1, 1)
so this question that @Amethyst claims "you're stupid if you can't answer" is just a trivial high school calculus problem, the only thing that would trip you up is not knowing what the fukk ∇φ is if you haven't seen it before
tl;dr:
this question is some basic shyt that takes no insight, skills, or even a trick but this Yale graduate picked it as some standard for math skills or intelligence
