CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A competitor in the twenty-first cycle of "America's Next Top Model" has been identified as one of the victims in Tuesday evening's triple homicide in northeast Charlotte.
Police responded to the 700 block of Norris Avenue Tuesday evening after being tipped off that three bodies were inside the home.
Wednesday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 19-year-old Emmanuel Jesus Rangel and charged him with three counts of first-degree murder.
Authorities say their preliminary investigation indicated the victims and the suspect are known to one another, and the shooting was drug-related.
CMPD says Rangel also faces charges in connection with the murder of Rosool Jaleel Harrell, 22, over the weekend in Matthews.
Matthews Police say two other suspects, who are in custody in Harris County, Texas, also face charges in the shooting at the Microtel on Matthews Mint Hill Road on Sunday; Edward Sanchez, 19, is charged with first-degree murder; Emily Ann Isaacs, 18, is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.
