OK, so I used to DJ and I been out the game for close to 5 years.

I wanna get back into it but I don't fukk with CD decks, I always used vinyl, that's what I learned with.

Anyway, I been out of the game so long and so much has changed that I have quite a few questions for you guys.

1st of all, if I show up at most clubs, are they gonna have vinyl turntables or CD turntables. Second, I'm guessing I'ma have to work on my laptop and take my laptop to gigs right?

I'm inspired to get back into the game but its been so long and things changed so much that I don't know where to begin.

How do you prepare your sets, how do you rock out. What equipment and software do you use and what equipment do most clubs use?

I'll be much obliged. Free daps for everyone that posts here!

90% of clubs use cdj's, some might have spare vinyl decks, but u can always ask the person whos booking u before u bring your crates

some cdj's allow u to use usb too

I'd love to do it using vinyl and a laptop maybe though. That's what I know how to use. I dunno, I'll look into it I guess.

EDIT: The CD advantage is that you can find any track and put it on CD. A lot of music is hard to find on vinyl.
