Main Event

Anthony "The Dog" Dirrell (WBC Super Middleweight Champion - 1st title defense) - 27-0-1 21 ko's vs Badou "The Ripper" Jack - 18-1-1 12 ko's

Backstory

The unlikely Dirrell brother, who survive cancer and a motorcycle crash to become champion. He will now be making the first defense of the 168 title he won back in August, 2014 from Sakio Bika against TMT standout Badou Jack. Jack had been slowly climbing the contender ladder at 168 until early last year when he suffered a shocking 1 round TKO loss to Derek Edwards. Since that loss he has won 2 straight fights which have now led him to this golden opportunity. Most people have pegged Jack as a major underdog due to a suspect chin and the fact he is facing one of the harder punchers in the division. We will see if Jack could justify the potential that he once had pull off the upset against the undefeated Dirrell

Co Main Event

Daniel "Miracle Man" Jacobs (WBA "Regular" Middleweight Champion - 1st title defense) - 28-1-0 25 ko's vs Caleb "Golden" Truax - 25-1-2 15 ko's

Danny Jacobs is truly living his nickname. A career nearly ended by bone cancer which had him on crutches and a wheelchair, he has overcome over all odds to return the ring. Prior to the cancer diagnosis Jacobs had a earned previous shot at the vacant WBO Middleweight title, in which he fell short in a KO loss to Dmitry Pirog. On his second attempt at a world title, Danny made good on becoming a champion by knocking out Jarrod Fletcher in 5 rounds. He will be now making his first defense against Caleb Truax. Truax has been a staple on the ESPN/Fox Sports networks. His lone loss came at the hands of returning former undisputed MW champion Jermain Taylor. Truax's notoriety was nearly causing an upset by flooring Taylor in the 9th round. Since that loss Truax has gone 7-0-1 in his last 8 fights and is now looking to see if he can follow up and make good on an upset to become champion.

CHICAGO - International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Joe "Pride of Wales" Calzaghe has been added to the broadcast team as a special analyst for the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Spike TV April 24 fight card taking place at Chicago's UIC Pavilion.

Before retiring in 2009, Calzaghe set the record as the longest continuously reigning world champion in the history of boxing, making more than 21 defenses of his super middleweight title along the way. When Calzaghe finally hung up the gloves he had amassed an astonishing unblemished record of 46-0, 32 KOs that featured notable wins over Mikkel Kessler, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr.

Calzaghe will enter the booth for Spike TV to help analyze the first main event of the evening featuring Daniel "Miracle Man" Jacobs (28-1, 25 KOs) as he faces Caleb "Golden" Truax (25-1-2, 15 KOs), followed by the second televised bout of the evening between Anthony "The Dog" Dirrell (27-0-1, 22 KOs) and challenger Badou Jack "The Ripper" (18-1, 12 KOs).
