it's true....if kobe played on a shaqless, clevelandesque team at that age, he'd potentially have some 40 ppg seasons under his belt....people forget just how great kobe actually was at a young age. on both ends.

1.)In 2000 Kobe was arguably the best perimeter defender in the NBA. While giving you 23/6/5 On good efficiency.
2.)Was great In the Playoffs when healthy(Blazers/Suns)and was the MVP of the biggest game of the 3Peat(Game 7 Against the Blazers)
Id love to see Him on his own team today Given the keys on offense With the no handcheck rules. I could see 27/6/5 ALL NBA Defensive 1st Team

If you replaced Shaq with Tim Duncan, Kobe would have atleast 3 35ppg seasons because Tim wasn't as much of a scorer as Shaq was and he'd let Kobe go off, and Kobe & Duncan would have more rings because they would've got along better. I would've loved to see it

Kobe thrived in hostile environments. Shaq, no so much. I'll go even deeper, these particular stats plays into their personalities, Kobe plays better when he's hated, Shaq plays better when he's loved. However, Kobe was more balanced and produced well in both environments.
Young Kobe's only rival back then was AI, shyt was way too real in the perimeter.

Shaq was the best in 2000, AI in 2001 with Kobe right behind him, by 02 is was Kobe's reign until like 2010/11ish. AI's MVP season, the nikka dropped an album talkin so much street shyt he had C.Delores Tucker on his back like he was Pac, stole a game from one of the greatest teams GOAT franchise ever had, sometimes I wonder what it woulda been like if AI and Kobe was combined to make one player, nikkaz woulda prolly fukked with Allen Bryant harder than they fukked with Jordan.
Kobe was already much better than AI by then, he was just playin in Shaq's big azz shadow (and still holdin his own)... Imagine all the individual accolades and records kobe would have if he was given a franchise from age 21 .... Godaymn
