Serena chasing her 23rd grand slam which will see her pass Steffi Graf in terms of slams won in the open era. Also, Serena looking to regain the number 1 ranking if she wins the title.

Venus looking to win her 8th slam and her first in over 8 years. It would also be Venus' first ever Australian Open after 16 total years of playing.
