Because it feels good honestly. It feels good giving good advice or really helping someone that needed it. Providing hope for someone. I mean most of the time I do it out of respect and fear of karma but I really don't expect anything material in return.

I came to the realization that I'm here to help others. Nothing would make me happy except improving the world. Instead of bashing black women that wear weave, I'd rather teach them, instill whatever is missing and help improve the issues. I'd rather create a world where everybody has shelter and food to eat than to be worried about my own personal gain. I'm not really a selfish person and I think about what humans can do working as a cohesive all the time. Those kind of well intentioned thoughts can drive you crazy in this grim world though. That's why I come off so rude sometimes. Humans really aren't going to change until they aren't being oppressed though. Oppression creates these evil people. We just need to do more logical thinking towards something that will benefit us instead of being distracted by nonsense literally 24/7. Work, television, sex, social media, etc. That's why we are suffering because we don't dedicate our energy to things that will help our planet. Our energy is dedicated towards useless things and helping the top 1% gain more wealth and resources.

You can't divorce egocentrism from perception but that doesn't mean things can't be done out of selflessness, even if feeling good is an affect. Giving a homeless person my leftover meal may make me feel good but within seconds that feeling is gone but the deed of feeding a person goes much further. Also, feeling good about helping others is a good kind of selfishness so don't group everything under the same banner. Selfish acts are not all the same.
