So you are an mcu dikkrider
What I'm saying is if something's reason for being is to fill a quota to play keep away from another company it's not coming from a place of let's make a quality product because we have a story to tell. Even if the people put in place are competent on Into The Spider Verse that's a movie they made with a vision to tell a story not some quota demanded drivel to keep the rights of a multi-billion dollar franchise from revering back to the parent company. They need to make a product about every 5 years or it will revert back. They can't take all the time they need to make the right product. Whether it's good or not or ready or not something has to come out.

You can say the same thing about James Gunn running DC. If you’re in a creative position you can affect all the projects under you despite the reason for them existing

If DC needs to take a step back for a while it could happen. They have that freedom to an extent because they own those rights outright. Spider-Man has a 5 year timer on it rain, sleet, hail, snow that product has to come out no excuses.

Ultimately that means they'll be juggling a multitude of projects with a varying level of involvement on a non flexible timer for release.

It won’t even be 5 years inbetween Aquaman and the superman reboot

That's the entire DC roster vs Spider-Man a limited selection of his allies and villains though. Not everyone associated with Spider-Man deserves a movie. When you have to hit a quota that doesn't matter though.

Spider-man has a more diverse roster of heroes and villains than the same heroe’s they have been cycling between with dc comics for the past 50 years

How much more batman and superman reboots are they even doing right now?

Hopefully they go the quality over quantity route. I can see the general public getting tired if we get another MCU situation.

I do think the market is open for a new property unrelated to Marvel or DC like the Cosmere series. It already has a massive following in the book world, and I think Lord and Miller would fit perfectly if they were to adapt it.

Avengers compound
First thing they need to do is scrap everything after Kraven since it's already done. Then they need to just focus on animated for the time being.

they need to make some sort of spider man film to keep the rights (not sure if spider-verse counts in the contracts), so it def. is part of their quota.

THEY HAVE TO MAKE A SPIDER-MAN MOVIE EVERY SIX YEARS TO KEEP THE RIGHTS.

WHEN DO YOU THINK WE'RE GONNA GO
6 YEARS WITHOUT SEEING PETER PARKER
ON SCREEN?

THESE MOVIES WERE ATTEMPTS AT
CASH GRABS NOT QUOTAS.

t's hard to get excited about something that exist just to keep the rights away from another company. The only reason this franchise is a cinematic universe is so they can make more movies to reset a clock.

Every superhero has a wealth of characters around them. They don't all need cinematic universes for them. Love Batman in film. Don't need a Clayface or Man-Bat movie just to refresh a clock. Wouldn't care if they recruited Christopher Nolan to make them either.

While it makes sense for DC as a whole and Marvel as a whole to have cinematic universes Every popular character doesn't need their own sub-universe. As Marvel is discovering milking these things can put fans off. If they're just making core Spider-Man films and Spiderverse films and nothing else this is great. If fukking The Shocker, Black Cat, and Spider-Gwen are getting solo movies just to stretch this out pass.
